Amy graduated from Lakehead University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2007 and went on to graduate from the Massage Therapy program at Georgian College in 2011. She is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and has completed further courses in ergonomics and draping, cupping, insurance reimbursement when working with MVA and WSIB clients, manual therapies for pediatrics, and MPS pain therapy.

Outside of the clinic, Amy has completed the Level 2 trainers’ course with the Hockey Development Centre for Ontario. From 2001 to 2017, she volunteered her time with the Georgina Minor Hockey Association as well as the Georgina Ice Junior C hockey club as a team trainer. In 2015, Amy volunteered for the Pan and Para Pan Am Games. She was apart of the medical team for Table Tennis and Water Polo during Pan Am and Table Tennis during Para Pan Am.
